You can capture any type of expense with your BRIX app.
Examples:
- Gas Receipts
- Vendor Invoices
- Quick trips to Lowes
- Amazon checkout screens
- Anything you can take a picture of with your phone can become a receipt.
- Per the IRS Revenue Procedure 97-22 and Publication 552, digital receipts are viewed no differently than paper receipts.
From the Dashboard, tap the Capture Expense button

You can capture expenses with your Camera or select pictures from your Photo Library.

Enter the Amount and tap the Save Receipt button.

You have now captured the receipt. The image has been uploaded to the BRIX secure cloud. Even if you lose your phone, your receipts are backed up.
BRIX uses Apple Machine Vision to scan all the text in your receipt to make it searchable. You can search for any text on the receipt in the Expenses Section.
Tap on the More Icon and tap Expenses.

You can pull down on the screen to reveal the search bar.

To delete an expense, simply swipe left on the image. A delete button will be revealed. Tap the button and the receipt will be deleted.

You can also tap on the image to edit details about your expense.
You can also assign an category to the expense for accounting.

When creating an expense, you can also assign the expense to an active project.

This will adjust the P&L of the project.

You can also run reports related to expenses from the More > Reports menu.
